Hi, I’m Krystle! Although I have always had an interest in baking, it wasn’t until a couple years ago when I truly discovered my passion for it. While I have no formal training, I have learned lots from cookbooks, other baking blogs, the internet and of course trial and error along the way.

Smitten Sugar was started as a baking blog in June of 2008 as way for me to track my adventures in the kitchen with my new found hobby of baking. Several years later, baking has grown into something way more than a hobby. I take so much pride in baking for friends and family and hope to one day leave the corporate world for my own bakery.
